    Fabulous

Room was of a good size and ensuite recently upgraded. Leisure facilities included heathclub with indoor pool. Staff very attentive and reasonably priced brasserie on site.

    Fabulous

The hotel was in a good location to walk to the shops, The Hoe, Barbican and the marina. I booked it as it had a swimming pool and on site parking facility. The room was really clean and comfortable. We also had an excellent meal in Steve's restaurant.

We didn't like the arrangement of the tables for two at breakfast. They were too close together and we felt crammed in.

Location - I went to the opera at Theatre Royal

    Exceptional

Good location for both the theatre and shopping in Plymouth centre. Good facilities, clean and spacious rooms with all modern facilities. Excellent breakfast with welcoming staff. Could not be faulted on any aspect.

    Fabulous

The room was very nice. Larger than the norm with a lovely larger than norm on suite. The room was always clean and the bed was large and comfortable. The gym was well equipped and the pool was a nice size and a nice temp. The steam room was broken when we was there but hopefully will be fixed soon. Managed to park at the hotel easy and they only charged £3 day and Plymouth is bad for parking.

The only negative on the hotel is the room we had overlooked a Witherspoon pub and that was noisy at night. Will try and get a room on the opposite side next time hopefully.

    Superb

Room was large and comfortable, Staff pleasant ,polite and helpful

    Very good

The location of the hotel was excellent. Ideal for town, the Hoe, Barbican and Pavillion's. The evening meal in the Restaurant was very good, it's a shame more residents weren't using it, as we were the only ones in there on the Friday evening.

The corridors look a bit tired and jaded. The tape on the carpet is unsightly. It looks as if the reception area, dining room and bedrooms have been refurbished, so hopefully the next project will be the corridors leading in to them!

    Good

bathroom was new and towels thick

Central location easy access to all area of the city, all easy to get out of the city by car to explore the surrounding area

Staff need to attend training on customer care , we had to listen the waitress moaning and banging cutlery at breakfast, leisure centre receptionist did not look up from texting as we tried to book in to use the facilities.tea and coffee only one cup each on the 1st night but loads of milk,2nd night loads of tea and coffee but no milk.as we were not part of a coach trip we had to sit on table so close together you could hear people on the next table chewing their food

    Good

Very good position and reception very pleasant and helpful.

We did not like Steves bistro. Prior to the starters being served the chef could be heard shouting at the waitress, the soup starter was ok but the goats chese and pesto risoto had to be sent back it was disgusting, parts of the main course was only just edible. The waitress was very pleasant, helpful and to be commended. We most certainly do not recommend eating in the hotel bistro.

Hotel was very handy for the Plymouth Pavillions where we were attending a show.

The bed and pillows were not the most comfortable in the world and the third floor room was rather stuffy even with window wide open. Room starting to look as though it needed sprucing up as it is looking dated now. The cooked full English breakfast in the hotel was good both mornings.

    Superb

Location great for the Theatre and city centre. Reception Staff very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast serving staff let the hotel down, unfriendly and unwelcoming

  • 6.6
    Good

the reception was friendly with plenty of info.We liked the pool after a long drive.good breakfast and comfy room

The rear of the hotel looked very tired which is your first impression as the car park is located there ,yet the reception areas are good. The pool areas are also tired eg,lockers broken in changing rooms, tiles missing around pool. Some more investment in these areas and the hotel could be really good.

  • 7.8
    Fabulous

Access to both a fully equipped gym and a pool. The gym was well above standard of most hotels

Some aspects of leisure centre and corridors seemed a bit jaded E.g mold in changing rooms.

    Very good

Very clean nice comfortable room friendly staff

Stairs even when I went up in the lift to the first floor I had to do battle with several bags and several stairs as the floor is not all on one level.
